The online application includes questions about your academic credentials, extra-curricular activities and the following two essays:
ESSAY QUESTION 1:
Why are you interested in a career in science or entrepreneurship? 500 words or less.
ESSAY QUESTION 2:
Think about a news story that you have read recently that relates to science and explain why you found it interesting or surprising. 500 words or less.

• Submit only 1 application.
• Print and retain a copy of all application materials for your records.
• Observe word limit for essays.
• Application can be started, stopped and then returned to for editing as many times as needed using the personalized weblink until “Submit” button is pressed at the end of the application. Do not press “Submit” until you are satisfied with your answers because you will not be able to change your submission once this is pressed.
Selection of Talent Fellows:
Applications will be reviewed principally by the Program Director as well as by a panel of scientists and business leaders affiliated with the NanoBusiness Alliance and the Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance. Evaluators are looking for 1) genuine curiosity and passion for science, 2) demonstrated intellectual achievement (GPA, awards/honors, test scores and academic experiences), 3) extra-curricular activities. After the initial screening, finalists will be chosen for an interview with representatives from the nanotechnology companies.
